My Yoda

After Mondays reality check, I still made it to yoga every day but not always at 6am. I decided to make the commitment to go and just take it easy. It`s hard for me to do this as I always want to try 110 percent right from the start. This burns me out quicker and if I am at all weak, I will be struggling badly by the end. I find that I will attach ugly feelings to the class and my practice during this time of intense difficulty. read more

Day 1 of 60

Monday I went to class at 6am but about 4 poses in, I had to leave the room. I have never left the room as it is just something you don`t do. It is disruptive to others and also to your own body. But I was on the verge of throwing up so I made eye contact with Andrea the instructor before slipping out the door. read more

Walk in the Park

Sunday I prolly could have gone to yoga but I decided to just start fresh on Monday. I did however go on a megawalk inspired by the marathon that was going on in front of my house. They even turned on the High Level Bridge waterfall which I must say, was quite a spectacular sight to wake up to. read more

Go Go Gadget Phone

Today I did it. When is the last time I made a three year commitment? I do not know. It was a long process with a lot of humming and hawing but it has finally come to an end. I signed the contract and the deal is done. There is no going back now. I am an owner of a new cell phone complete with a three year plan. I had to move from the non-contractual pay as you go because it was getting expensive and the phone was dropping calls like hot potatoes. read more

Butterfly Rain

I woke up this morning at 5am and though I didn`t feel terrible, I knew it would be better if I took the day off yoga. I got up and drove down to the studio anyway as today is the day to sign up for the 30 Day Challenge (referred to as 30DC hereafter). The last few days I have been a little burnt out and even considered cutting down the yoga to a few times a week. I know deep down that I must push through this difficult phase as it`s just a bit of a tantrum. In my foundation I am sure this practice is what I need to be doing right now. read more
