Go Go Gadget Phone

Today I did it. When is the last time I made a three year commitment? I do not know. It was a long process with a lot of humming and hawing but it has finally come to an end. I signed the contract and the deal is done. There is no going back now. I am an owner of a new cell phone complete with a three year plan. I had to move from the non-contractual pay as you go because it was getting expensive and the phone was dropping calls like hot potatoes.

I found a lot of sites the compared the phones side by side detailing the features. I spent time reading many forum posts of gripes and praise for every service provider. Unfortunately there are just as many people who love and hate them all so in the end, I chose by price. And the fact that there is only one provider (Fido) that bills by the second, not the minute. I like that because it never fails that I spend 1.02 minutes on the phone and get charged for 2 minutes. Every time.

An added bonus was that they gave me a deal off because the guys down the mall said they would give me a $50 credit. So in essence, they paid me $25 to take the phone plus my sister gets a $20 referral credit.

She is a pretty Sony Ericsson Z710i flip phone and champagne in color. As we are going to be together for a while, I decided it wouldn`t hurt to get attached to her. So I called her Mandy. Handy Mandy. She also sings. Plays me whatever song I want. Another MP3 player that I am going to have to figure out how to use. My iPod (who still remains nameless) is already jealous so I have to keep them in separate pockets to avoid confrontation.

Mandy has a 2.0 megapixel camera and takes video with sound. So this is good. Very good. You may see more of me now. I spent the whole first battery charge taking video of crazy Magic the Wonder Cat. There are several effects like B & W, Sepia, and even Creepy setting that films in negative. Magic`s black fur is turned pure white with blue eyes making her a prime candidate for a Feline Blair Witch Project.

Grateful for sexy champagne color.
