Toe Slice and Nice Kites

This week was a good one for the most part although I was super busy with this new game. I also had a bunch of month end stuff to get done so I actually missed a few parties that I would have liked to attend. But that`s the thing with parties…there will always be another one. read more

Funnily enough…

The weekend was rainy but I suppose I made the best of it. I completed my yoga faithfully though I mist admit it wasn`t easy. After that double on Friday, I was extremely sore for three days. I took an Epson salt bath which helped quite a lot but I realize that bodies do have their limits. I will respect that. read more

Double Double

Everyday, I try to learn something new. A sure way to make this happen is by trying something you have never done before. On Friday I did just that. I did two hot yoga classes back to back. I made sure I was well rested then went in for the 930am class. I made sure to take easy and pace myself. In the hour between classes, I had an herbal energy drink and some bites of power cookie. Then I went back into the room and rested before the next round. read more

Happy Summer Storms

I have just realized that today is the first day of summer. I cannot believe it slipped by me but I caught it before the clock turned to midnight. We have been getting some tremendous thunderstorms in the past few days. I even got some photos of a funnel cloud forming directly above the car on the way home one day. It didn`t turn into a tornado but the hail and severe winds that ensued were dramatic enough. read more

Pushing through the hard part

It`s been almost a whole week since I have written and I feel a little bad. But then I really couldn`t feel worse that I did. I basically got very overwhelmed then got sick so I had to take a break. The only thing I didn`t take a break from was the yoga. Oh man. It just about killed me too. read more

Hunting my prey

I am tired. I am sick of trying to guess what humans motives are. I am exhausted by the trickery and deception that people have with each other. It`s sick really. And I wish I didn`t see it. I am sorry for being so negative but it is what it is.

I suppose I am supposed to take a moment. A reality check. But truth is…it is a dis-reality. There is nothing I can rely on in this outer world. It is so very clear, I don`t belong here. read more

Worst Yoga Class Ever

On Tuesday I made it to the early yoga then had a full day of work ahead of me. I plugged away at work. I puttered around the house most of the day glad to be home. Magic mananged to mess up the house so I had to tidy up after her. She pretty much destroyed her scratching post and now there are fluffy bits in every nook and cranny. read more

The Hitchhiker – Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Monday was spent doing a whole lot of driving. First I woke and worked for the better half of the day then zoomed back to Calgary. It had just started raining when I got there but it was not a problem. I was only going to visit with my good friend Kelly and rain surely wouldn`t dampen our spirits. Its been some time since we have caught up so it was really special to have a quick bite to eat while we shared stories. I was going to stay overnight but it just seemed like it wasn`t meant to be.

Chillaxin in the Mountains – Fairmont, British Columbia, Canada

The weekend went by at a leisurely pace. Nothing major stood out except for the greek food and the yoga class. The class was different than the kind I am used to but some of the postures were similar. I didn`t really feel challenged at all and though the instructor was nice, she didn`t seem very positive. She kept talking about how terrible she felt and how she just didn`t know what was going on. It was a strange experience but I just did my best to maintain my space and focus on my body.

Extra Buttery Creamy Goodness – Banff, Alberta, Canada

It was a long drive from Edmonton to Fairmont though after a few breaks, it was do-able. I love how friendly the service station staff are so long as you talk to them as people. I also realized that as long as you put your mind to it, you can focus and concentrate on the road to get to exactly where you need to go. read more
