Juggling

Now it is Thursday and I haven`t written in days. That`s what happens when life blows up and there is too much to do. Deadlines and last minute developments invaded leaving me a little over committed. Monday I tried to get all my work done so that Tuesday I`d be free to see my friend from Montreal. Though I stayed up all night, I got most of it done. I ended up going to the later yoga class on Tuesday and man it was hard. I hurried back home to have a few meetings before Martin came from the airport. read more

Prepare for G(l)ory…and CG EyeCandy

Sunday was a lax morning and I decided to take the day off yoga giving my body a rest. It was Sebastian`s birthday so we went for Dim Sum and then for coffee. Next we did a little bit o`fishing before heading out to a movie he`s been wanting to see for a while. read more

Family Day

The early morning yoga class was pretty busy as I guess everyone wanted to enjoy the sunny weekend outside. After making a quick pit stop at the Strathcona Farmers Market, I readied myself to go fishing. I knew it would be a quieter day as I was getting to midday by the time my hooks hit the water. read more

Crazy for Coconut Water

Well this is why I need to write everyday. Because try as I might I cannot remember what I did on Thursday. I know I worked and I imagine I did all the other regulars like eat and sleep. I do know that I made it to my 6am yoga class. But was there something else that was more prominent than sipping on tea and playing with Magic every now and than, it truly escapes me. read more

Winter is dying and I am growing

I just stepped outside to experience tiny speckles of snow shooting at me. Like little frozen flying saucers invading my illusion of spring. Figures I thought to myself. Still, the optimist I am I scrutinized them a little more closely hoping they were just glorified rain. But no. Truly…snow at the end of May. Global warming, yeah right. It must be the last stitch effort. Hey Winter…I got news for you. Your late for another party…on the OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD! read more

Big Grannies and Grandpas

Yesterday I watched a Canadian movie called “Away from Her” directed by Sarah Polley. It was about an older couple dealing with several life issues one being Alzheimer`s disease. I found the movie quite touching and one of my favorite parts was when the senile sportcaster walked by Grant barking his nonstop play-by-play. read more

Crumpled 747

Today is a holiday here in Canada. Victoria Day is a stat holiday we get in honor of the Queens birthday. I was surprised to learn that it is also celebrated in Scotland and the Cayman Islands. In any case, I think of it as the weekend of terrible weather. It has snowed and stormed here traditionally on this long weekend for more years than not. Gardeners know this best and have been known to hold off planting until the weekend AFTER May long. read more

And she told two friends and so on and so on

I skipped yoga again today but it`s the one day of the month I am allowed. So. I took advantage of that. I ended up having a productive day working while I wasn`t getting distracted with this new Facebook phenomenon. I can`t believe the people that are turning up in my friends list. Some very random, but welcome surprises and reunions. read more

Sweet and Low

After my 8am yoga, I headed over to the Farmers Market to see if they had any balloons this week. They didn`t. They did however have blueberry pie. Mmmm. I got a bit of work done before digging into the sinful dessert. I had a lot consumed a large cup of coffee which I have gotten out of the habit of for some time. It didn`t take long after that. read more

Chasing a flat balloon

I decided to take the day off yoga today as the smell of the beer from my pores did not sound appealing to me. I didn`t drink that much last night but it sure did hit me hard. Why is it that when I am in a good mental space, I can drink loads and not even get tipsy. But if I have alot on my mind, a couple beers can knock me over. read more
